FOCAS is in full swing!
Well the leaves have turned, there's a nip in the air and Fairfax Open Circle Arts and Sports (FOCAS) classes are up and running.
We are happy to have Belynda Marks teaching our Fun and Funky Art Class. She taught Photography this Summer and got all the kids hooked on taking their own photos. This Fall she's leading a fun, informal art class for little ones ages 1.5 - 5. There are easy, creative projects to do twice a week - Tuesday and Thursday. The drop in rate is only $7 and a class card is $30 for 6 classes which is $5 a class! It's the best deal around so come drop in anytime and see what all the fun is about : )
Fridays are shaping up to be a busy day in Fairfax - we are happy to announce the return of the new moms' group led by Jennifer Livingston, a registered nurse a new mom. We are meeting in the Fairfax Community Center next to Peri Park. Many thanks to the girls at Beach House Style who recently gave us a make over and transformed the simple front room into a sweet cozy space, perfect for new moms and babies.
Starting Friday October 16th Susan Z will be doing a kids musical performance at 9:30 every week! Come listen to great music and sing along. Fun for the whole family.
Coming soon - kids music classes, mom and baby Ergo-cise class, and kids cooking classes. We're programming all the time so check the online calendar at www.fairfaxfocas.com for new and exciting classes! And if there is something you'd like to see added to the roster, let us know - or better yet, teach a class based on your interests. All it takes is the enthusiasm to share what you know and a little time.
