In cooperation with the Town of Fairfax, Coach Shawn Donlea is offering Basketball Classes for kids ages 4-7, 7-10 and 10-13 kids. All basketball classes will focus on individual skill development and team play where appropriate. Each class will be one-hour in length. All participants will receive a basketball for their enrollment! Please see the information below for specifics of dates, times and how to enroll.
Basketball Classes for 4-7 year olds
This class will include a mini-hoop to maximize shooting potential. Each student will receive a Basketball as part of tuition. Skills taught in this class include: Eye and Hand Coordination and Strength, Balance, Socialization, ball-handling, dribbling, jump stops, rip-thru, pivoting, shooting.
Tuesdays’ 2:30-3:30pm: Class Dates: 9/13, 9/20, 9/27, 10/4, 10/11, 10/18, 10/25, 11/1, 11/8, 11/15
Thursdays 2:30-3:30pm: Class Dates: 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13, (no class 10/20), 10/27, 11/3, 11/10, 11/17

Thursdays class (9 sessions) $112.50 including Ball

Basketball Class for 7-10 year olds
Basketball for 7-10 year olds will focus on basic fundamentals of the sport. These include shooting, shooting lay-ups, creating shots off the dribble, ball handling, and passing. Basketball games aimed at skill development will be played.

Individual skills will be refined in this class, plus basic team skill development. Games and competitions will be used as appropriate.
